McGrath gas jumps $3 overnight

Residents went to bed Sunday with gas prices at $6 per gallon and woke up Monday to $9.20 per gallon. Residents are concerned that the increase will affect heating fuel. A barge scheduled for mid May might bring prices down, but record low river levels could prevent the barge from getting to McGrath.
