I believe this is a fishing vessel used by NOAA in various surveys. There is a NOAA vessel of that name that was involved with the 2006 Eastern Bering Sea Crab and Groundfish Survey.

The buyer came through on his rounds twice a year and I'd sell my fur to him in either Aniak or Holy Cross. Several times he landed at my home on Reindeer Lake on skis. I would have already graded my fur and would be ready with all the separate piles on the living room floor.
