Brittni Giliam, the 22-year-old who was found stabbed to death in an Anchorage park this morning, posted this to her blog only two days ago:

Everyday on my bike ride home from work, I stop at a bird sanctuary down the street from my house.  It's a place where I unwind, reflect, and seek for peace.  Everyday is a challenge, but I've discovered that as long as I come out on top, it's "a good day".

According to the bio on her blog, she was training to be an internationally certified aromatherapist. Many of her entries are reflections of time spent in nature.
